Sonia at 8 weeks. By 6 1/2 months, she finished her AKC championship from the Bred-by Class at the River City Cluster of Dog Shows in San Antonio with all majors, and become a 3 time group placer, 3 time Best Puppy In Show winner a couple of weeks later at the States Kennel Club Shows. She's now 3 years old, 100 pounds, over 28", OFA Good, and 100% Amazon! She has three Best in Shows (UCI, States and Canadian) 15 AKC group placements, 7 Canadian (two show weekends), 8 States Kennel Club (three show weekends), and 5 UCI International group placements (out of six shows). She was #8 All Breed US in 1998 and #2 kuvasz in Canada. In 1999 she was #4 All Breed US, #3 Breed and #1 in Canada.
We think she exemplifies breed type, especially the FCI Hungarian type, in that her head is one of the very few we've seen that approaches the 45% of the height at the withers specified by the FCI Hungarian standard (and AKC)with slight stop. She has nice long legs, resulting in a sillouette that is SLIGHTLY deviated from a square. Her head is long and wedge shaped with exotic black almond shaped slanted (mischevious) eyes, and lovely high earset. Her most eyecatching feature is her thick, pure white wavy coat of proper texture and length and pitch black toenails. Her best feature, however is her warm, loving outgoing personality. She is completely trustworthy off leash and always comes when called. She adores children, and is very patient and gentle with them. She's an Amazon in the field, running for miles at full blast, often springing through the brush on her hind legs, like a gazelle. She's extremely tuned into our feelings and seems almost psychic at times.
